IMO, DAI is one of the best female-fronted bands.. alongside Judy and Mary and Tokyo Jihen (and Nakanomori Band, although they are an all-girl band). Members(including Dai Nagao who is the invisible backbone of the band) contribute their works to the songs.. from arranging to composing to writting lyrics. From friendship/love to rebel/angst to courage/hope/dreams/future. Really good stuff from the band/duo.

Listening to DAI is like listening to a friend and/or to myself. Their sound is very much my cup of tea and their lyrics just hits me so hard.. from all aspects of my godamn life. They're one of the very very few artists I felt very much connected to, lyric-wise.

But, no word yet if Dai Nagao will still be "part" of the band... and that makes me a bit nervous coz he composed almost 90% of DAI's discography. Im okay with starting anew.. new band members, new sound.. so if they'll be working with a new composer/arranger, I they'll stick to their rock-ish sound. But then again, how they sounded years ago was due to Dai Nagao's compositions and arrangements. *sigh* I guess we fans just have to wait for their street lives to know if their sound will be any different from the previous.

#1. FREESTYLE.
Last Saturday early morning(Friday lunchtime in LA), I called Kino LA and a guy named Akira-san took my call. I asked if they still have copies, he said, and these were his exact words.. "You're lucky, we still have 1 copy left." Upon hearing that, I immediately told him to put it on HOLD for me, and that I'll call back tomorrow(Sunday my time, Saturday his time) to give the details he needed.(There's no way my dad could pick it up since he lives in SF, so the book was supposed to be shipped from LA to SF. The pb will cost $25.20 + 8.75%tax + $6 shipping )

So Sunday early morning came. Just a few mins after I've set up the VOIP, the phone rang. It was Akira-san. He asked if someone from the store called. I said nobody. At that point, I knew something was wrong. He said he was wondering why id let go of the photobook. Then he said someone sold it already, and continued on saying that the person who did should have asked him first, since he made the reservation for me. I was tearing up, seriously.

Lesson learned.... If an item is in-demand, putting it on hold even just for a day doesn't guarantee that you're going to  have it.

I know Kodakawa is reprinting, so there's still chance of getting it. Im just pissed with what happened in this transaction.

#2 SUN CELLULAR loading.
What the hell is wrong with SUN? When will their ongiong "expanding project" in provinces going to end? Its getting harder and harder to send prepaid load to SUN subscribers. We're losing retailers because of that.

#3 Another raket.. going back and forth from Muntinlupa to Ortigas..
.. pero hindi ako naaambunan ng kita?! >_< TT_TT kamusta naman yun dba?! nanakit na nga braso at balikat ko kakabitbit, wala parin. Kung kumilos kaya ako ng hindi nila alam???

#4 BURNER as posted a few days ago.
4 or 6-month old Lite-on 20x DVDRW Lightscribe. Still cant detect DVDRs. It's still under warranty but it'll take a month before I can claim it, and the PCX guy said there's no guarantee that it'll be fixed. Lite-on technicians will just look into it, and send it back to them after checking it. What kind of fcking warranty support is that?
Buying a new one isnt an option. I have no choice but to burn on CDRs for now, or risk my hd crashing again for the nth time. I dont want that to happen.

#5 Lastly... a friend.
If she told me earlier, I could have prevented it from happening... but its too late now. Everything is set. Only the organizers can change it.
